Who Qualifies as a New England Resident?
Applicants are considered to be from New England if they graduated from a public high school located in one of the New England states (Connecticut, Maine, Massacusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, or Vermont), or if they were a resident of a New England state for 5 continuous years preceding the date of admission to veterinary school.

Qualified students who are currently enrolled in an AVMA-accredited veterinary school may apply for a scholarship by filling out the application form and mailing to:

                    PO Box 3221
                    North Attleboro, MA 02761

Applications cannot be submitted electronically at this time.

If the applicant did not graduate from a high school in New England, she/he must supply a list of her/his home addresses for the 5 years preceding matriculation into veterinary school.  All applications must also be signed by a New England veterinarian who knows the applicant.  A New England veterinarian is defined as one who lives in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont.

An appropriate person at the applicant's veterinary school (e.g., registrar or dean of students) must sign the application to verify that the applicant is in good standing at the time of application.  The application must be notarized.
